December 19, 2023

HOUSTON (Dec. 20th, 2023) – KP Engineering, a leader in the design and execution of customized EPC solutions for the refining, syngas, hydrogen and renewable fuel industries is pleased to announce it has been appointed to serve on the Advisory Board for The University of Texas at Tyler Jasper Department of Chemical Engineering. Scott Green and Pete Ministrelli, Principal Process Engineers at KP Engineering, will represent the company in the appointment.

The UT Tyler Jasper Department of Chemical Engineering Advisory Board term begins in the Fall of 2023. New Board members are nominated and selected by the department leadership.

“Participation in the Board ensures that local companies are directly involved in decisions about the curriculum and student activities,” said Dr. Fernando Resende, department chair and associate professor. “It also ensures that our student experience is aligned with the needs of the local industry.”

The College of Engineering at The University of Texas at Tyler offers Bachelor of Science degrees in Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering and Construction Management. Students enrolling in these engineering disciplines are given an opportunity to develop a strong background in the engineering sciences and to learn the analysis, design and synthesis tools necessary to be active participants in traditional, as well as new and emerging areas of technology.

This appointment comes after years of partnership and support between KP Engineering and the University of Texas at Tyler.
